# VidFast Addon

> VidFast TMDB embed — pack , URL templates, resolver flow, and production caveats.

**VidFast** (`addon.vidfast`) is a Streamly **streaming addon** — a catalog playback source.

VidFast TMDB embed player. Titles need TMDB ids. No activation keys — templates are built into the pack.

## How it works

### Embed flow

| Step | What happens |
| - | - |
| **1** | Install the TMDB embed addon from `/admin/streaming-providers` |
| **2** | Ensure the title / episode has a TMDB id |
| **3** | Resolver fills `{tmdbId}` / `{season}` / `{episode}` into the host URL |
| **4** | Viewer plays in the embed player |

  Free embed hosts frequently inject **their own ads** and may change domains. For production libraries prefer managed CDN / DRM plugins. You still need legal content rights.

## Setup guide

    `/admin/streaming-providers` → install **VidFast**.

  <Step title="Ensure TMDB ids">
    Catalog titles and episodes need valid TMDB identifiers for templates to resolve.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Attach the source">
    Title → Sources → add this embed (or set provider priority if your workflow auto-offers installed embeds).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Verify playback">
    Play as a viewer and check host availability / ad behavior.
  </Step>
