# General FAQ

> General questions about Streamly — licensing, demo accounts, media rights, and platform scope.

## What is Streamly?

A white-label OTT / streaming SaaS platform: operator admin, viewer storefront, themes, catalog, Live TV, and billing plugins. See [What is Streamly?](/introduction/what-is-streamly).

## Does Streamly include movies/TV files?

No. You supply licensed sources, your own media, or demo streams. Streamly does **not** provide copyrighted media.

## What are the demo accounts?

| Role | How |
| ------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Operator demo license** | `ENABLE_DEMO=true` (or `ADMIN_ALLOW_DEMO_LICENSE`) → purchase code `demo`, email `admin@streamly.watch`, “Try demo license” |
| **Viewer demo** | `demo@streamly.watch` / `demo123456` (when demo viewer seeding is enabled) |

Disable demo flags on real production installs.

## Can I resell the Streamly source?

No. Follow your **Envato Regular/Extended** license terms. You may run Streamly as your branded SaaS and charge end-customers for access — you must **not** resell or redistribute the Streamly item source as if it were your own product listing.

## Admin vs dashboard?

`/admin` is the system operator console. `/dashboard` is the tenant-owner console. Some dashboard nav items are inactive — do not assume they are shipped.

## Where is production?
