# Resend Plugin

> Resend transactional email — API key, from address, domain verification, priority over Mailgun.

**Resend** (`email.resend`) is a Streamly **plugin** in the **email** category.

Sends receipts and system mail. When both email plugins are installed, **Resend is preferred** over Mailgun.

## How it works

Email layer uses your API key + verified `fromEmail`. Legacy env: `RESEND_API_KEY`, `STREAMLY_FROM_EMAIL`.

## Activation keys

Configure in `/admin/plugins` → **Resend** → Configure. Secret fields stay server-side — never commit them or expose as `NEXT_PUBLIC_*` unless the key is intentionally public (e.g. Stripe publishable key).
